How To Protect Yourself Financially From Damage You Could Cause To Others
When you are driving your car, it is possible that you could run into another vehicle, damage their car, and hurt the driver or their passengers. To be covered for this you will need Bodily Injury Liability and Property Damage Liability. These are required in the state of California. The minimum requirements to carry are $15,000 per person, $30,000 per accident, and $5000 of property damage per accident. These limits are very low and we do recommend having a higher limit, especially if you have some assets that you could lose. If you need more coverage than $500,000 liability, then you will need an umbrella policy to cover you over your policy limits.
